(for submitting and interpreting data)
AER reference codes can be used for submitting and interpreting data or interpreting other statistical report (ST) publications. They include ST 37, a list of all the wells in Alberta; ST 102, a list of all of the reporting facilities in Alberta; ST 104 and ST 104A, lists that include all the business associate (BA) codes and those BA codes that pertain to licensees and agents; and ST 103, a list of field and pool codes.

Facility List (ST 102) (updated daily)
ST 102 is a complete list of batteries, gas plants, meter stations, and other facilities in the province. The list also includes additional information frequently requested by customers, such as operator name and facility subtype description. The facility list is a two-part listing:
Part B – List of Other Facilities
Other Facilities [PDF] [TXT]
The energy development category type (EDCT) identifies the energy development type for which a facility is currently licensed, as well as the minimum consultation and notification requirements.
A facility subtype is a more detailed classification of a facility type and is assigned by the operator when requesting a facility ID in the petroleum information network (PETRINEX). When a facility operator applies for a facility ID, the facility subtype must be specified in the application. PETRINEX validates the facility subtype selection with the facility license data. For example, facility subtype 405 - gas-plant sulphur recovery - is a subtype of the gas-plant facility type.
Comparison of EDCT Code and Facility Subtype [PDF]
Please note that the PETRINEX facility subtype typically does not change once assigned and might not reflect the subtype of the currently operating facility; EDCT codes, which are assigned at the licence level, reflect the current licence type. If two or more facilities are on the same licence, the EDCT code of the highest-priority facility will be assigned to all of the facilities on that licence.
