For over a decade, the AER has hosted delegations from around the world. These delegates come to Alberta because they are interested in learning how the province, which has almost 80 years of experience in energy regulation, is managing both the opportunities and the challenges of energy development. Since the launch of the single provincial regulator in 2013, the number of stakeholders interested in engaging with the AER has increased substantially.
The main topics of interests include:
|AER Overview / Regulatory Framework||YouTube - English | French|
|Drilling and Hydraulic Fracturing in Alberta – Leading the Way||YouTube|
|Are Alberta’s Pipelines Safe? (6 videos)||YouTube|
|Core Research Cente||YouTube|
Engaging with national and international peers is an essential component of pursuing regulatory excellence. By hosting these delegations, the AER can build relationships, learn about other regulatory approaches, and facilitate knowledge sharing across jurisdictions.
