Notice Of Application For A Temporary Diversion Licence for Interbasin Transfer Of Water
The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) has received application 34202937.

Description of the Application
Notice is given that Parallax Energy Operating Inc. filed an application under the provisions of the Water Act for a Temporary Diversion Licence.
The proposed Temporary Diversion Licence will result in a lower risk inter-basin transfer of water from the North Saskatchewan River Basin (Battle River basin) to the Red Deer River Basin (within the South Saskatchewan River Basin).
The point of diversion is from the North Saskatchewan River Basin (Battle River basin), located in the SE 28-039-27W4M, for a volume of 50,000 cubic metres at a rate of diversion 0.15 cubic metres per second with an expiry date of December 31, 2026.
The purpose is for drilling and hydraulic fracturing completions.

Filing a Statement of Concern
Statements of concern for non - expedited applications must be filed by October 23, 2026, 11:59 p.m.
Statements of concern for expedited applications must be filed by October 23, 2026, 11:59 p.m. or before a decision is made on the application, whichever is sooner. Decisions may be made immediately or on an expedited basis for applications identified as expedited in this integrated application.
A person who believes that they may be directly and adversely affected by this application may file a statement of concern with the Regulator in respect to this application.

Jurisdiction
Submissions relating exclusively to compensation for land use are not dealt with by the AER and should be referred to the Land and Property Rights Tribunal (formerly the Surface Rights Board).
