Anyone requesting an appeal must follow the timelines outlined in our legislation, such as the Alberta Energy Regulator Rules of Practice. We have summarized some of the appeal deadlines in the table below. When reviewing whether a request for regulatory appeal was filed on time, we rely on the deadlines provided in our legislation. For more information on requesting an appeal, see our appeal process webpage.
Every decision we issue is governed by provincial legislation. We decide on approvals for licences, leases, authorizations, and certificates.
Learn more about the application legislation underpinning our review and approval of applications, such as the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, Public Lands Act, and the Water Act.
