Outages and Updates

Currently, there are no planned Onestop outages. In the event of an outage, we strongly recommend submitting important draft applications and submissions before the scheduled interruption, as drafts may not always be retrievable after the outage. Remember to clear your web browser’s cache to access the latest version of OneStop.

Annual Methane Emissions Reporting Now Submitted Through Petrinex

The AER has transitioned annual methane emissions reporting associated with Directive 060 to Petrinex. For more information, please visit the Petrinex website.

OneStop no longer accepts new annual methane emissions reports under Directive 060 but remains available for amending past reports and submitting annual reports related to Directive 039 and Directive 084.

Contamination Records

Contamination management records previously available through the Government of Alberta’s Environmental Site Assessment Repository are now available from the AER’s Products and Services Catalogue.

Contamination management information submitted to the AER through the OneStop record of site condition (since July 2021) is available in the OneStop application query and OneStop public map viewer.

About OneStop

OneStop is the AER’s application review technology that processes energy- and resource-related applications in Alberta. 

When an operator submits an application into OneStop, the technology uses a complex set of rules to determine the necessary level of review. Lower risk applications (or components of an application) can be approved automatically through OneStop within minutes, as they’re considered routine with no impact on public safety or the environment. All other applications (or components of an application) are redirected to technical experts for additional review and assessment.
