Complete the form request closure of a well or facility. Please review the eligibility criteria prior to submitting the form.
The name of the requester is required on the form. Contact information for a designate—such as a family member, lawyer, or assistant—may also be provided for inclusion in correspondence regarding the closure request. Contact information must be kept up to date, and it is the requester’s responsibility to email closure.nomination@aer.ca with any necessary changes.
A confirmation message will be displayed once the closure nomination form has been submitted successfully. The AER will review the nomination against the eligibility criteria and notify the requester of the outcome. If accepted, the nomination will be posted to the Closure Nomination Dashboard. If the well or facility does not meet the eligibility criteria, we will specify the reason in our response to the requester.
