The ST37 dataset is enhanced to accurately reflect the lifecycle of wells within Alberta, incorporating additional information to improve visibility and understanding. As part of this update, the spatial data format is transitioned from shapefiles to a geodatabase. The current shapefile format will be maintained during a three-month transition period, after which it will be retired.
ST37: List of Wells in Alberta reflect the life cycle of wells within Alberta as reported to the AER and is available in Excel, Shapefile and Geodatabase format.
All format zip packages have been upgraded to include bottom holes, surface holes, production strings and geometry information. Refer to the metadata included in the zipped files for all attributes and the reference document for data structure.
