Closure Nomination Dashboard

Accepted Nomination -The nomination has been accepted but does not yet have an approved closure plan in place.

Pending AER Decision - The nomination has been received and is awaiting a decision from the Alberta Energy Regulator.

Closure Plan in Place - The nomination has an approved closure plan in place.

Closure Complete - The nomination has achieved a reclamation-certified licence status.

Closure Plan Deferral in Place - The nomination has an approved proposal to defer the closure plan.

Closure with Another Agency - Another organization is managing the nomination. This may include sites with closure activities and timelines managed by Indian Oil and Gas Canada (IOGC), or where the Orphan Well Association is conducting closure work.

Licensee Within Insolvency Proceedings - The licensee responsible for the nomination is currently involved in insolvency proceedings.

Other Closure Requirements in Place - The nomination has other closure requirements in place.

Current Activity - The current closure activity for the nomination.

Not Included in Current Closure Plan - The current approved closure plan does not include this closure activity. Please note that as closure work progresses, new information may indicate that additional closure activities are necessary. If so, these activities may be added to the closure plan.

Deferred - The closure activity has been deferred.

Reported as Complete - The closure activity has been reported as complete.

Included in Current Closure Plan - The current approved closure plan includes this closure activity.

Closure Under IOGC - Indian Oil and Gas Canada is managing the closure activity.

Baseline Closure Plan - This closure plan option has set closure activities and defined maximum timelines.

Nonbaseline Closure Plan - This closure plan option has adjusted or extended timelines for one or more closure activities.

Proposal to Defer the Closure Plan - This closure plan option defers the closure plan until a later date.

Not Applicable -This indicates that a closure plan is not expected for the site.

Closure Activity Deadline Date -  Indicates when a specific closure activity is required to be completed under the current approved closure plan.

Nomination Status Effective Date - Shows when a nomination status came into effect. 

Initial Closure Plan Approval Date - The date a closure plan was first approved for the site. Closure activity deadline dates are calculated from this date. 

Most Recent Updated Closure Plan Approval Date - The date the closure plan was most recently modified. This may include updates such as a change in closure plan option or the addition of a closure activity based on newly reported information indicating it is necessary for the site.
