Release Date
Today, we released a new edition of Directive 077: Pipelines – Requirements and Reference Tools. This directive provides testing and operational requirements for ensuring that pipelines, including temporary pipelines, are operated safely and in accordance with the legislative scheme and AER requirements.
The requirements in the following sections have been clarified or adjusted:
- Section 2, “External Corrosion Prevention Coatings Under Pipeline Insulation”
- Section 5, “Pipeline Pressure Testing Using Liquid Test Media Other Than Fresh Water”
- Section 6, “Pipeline Pressure Testing Using Gaseous Test Media”
- Section 7, “Temporary Surface Pipelines for Well Testing or Bypass”
- Section 8, “Temporary Surface Pipelines for Water Conveyance”
- Section 9, “Elevated-Temperature Pipelines”
