Purpose of this Directive
This directive sets out the planning requirements and contents for emergency response plans (ERP) applicable to resource developments, including geothermal developments. The directive specifies the conditions where a duty holder must obtain AER approval for its ERP or when a corporate ERP is acceptable. The directive also identifies the actions a duty holder must take to prepare for and respond to an incident.
