On August 31, 2026, Saturn Oil & Gas Inc. (formerly Ridgeback Resources Inc.) and Vermillion Energy Inc. (formerly Westbrick Energy Ltd.) withdrew their applications to drill wells near the
Brazeau hydroelectric facility.
Accordingly, the public hearing scheduled to start on September 14, 2026, is cancelled and the proceeding is closed.
