Effective November 2, 2026, industry and service contractors must submit select compliance-related operational notifications through OneStop. There are no changes to compliance requirements, reporting obligations, enforcement activities, reporting timelines, or compliance oversight.

About OneStop
OneStop is the AER’s application review technology that processes energy- and resource-related applications in Alberta.
When an operator submits an application into OneStop, the technology uses a complex set of rules to determine the necessary level of review. Lower risk applications (or components of an application) can be approved automatically through OneStop within minutes, as they’re considered routine with no impact on public safety or the environment. All other applications (or components of an application) are redirected to technical experts for additional review and assessment.

Use the OneStop Application Query Tool to access the status on and attachments associated with OneStop applications. The tool is openly accessible. No login is required.
