Exploration Application System (ExAS) to Replace Application Disposition Process and Tracking (ADEPT)
On April 15, 2024, we will move submissions for geophysical applications from Application Disposition Process and Tracking (ADEPT) to Exploration Application System (ExAS).
What submissions are transitioning?
The following submissions will move from ADEPT to ExAS:
- Preliminary GEO application submissions
- Amendment GEO application submissions
- Commencement/completions
- Final plan GEO application submissions
- Application for exploration license, permit, or UIN
What processes are changing?
The following changes take effect on April 15, 2024:
- All applications must be submitted to @email
- Email subject lines will be checked and must follow specific wording as detailed in the submission guidelines.
- All spatial data must be submitted in the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) shapefile format.
- The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) will issue invoices for application fees. Payment can be made by cash, certified cheque, or money order made payable to the Alberta Energy Regulator.
