A look at the AER purely from numbers perspective
Alberta - July 13, 2020This year has already brought us a whirlwind of bizarre, startling, and heartfelt moments for everyone—and 2020 is only half over! Even just last February, few of us could have predicted how the next months would unfold.
Also around that time, the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) was focused on its corporate restructuring to make much-needed improvements to the organization.
As tough decisions were being made at the organization, a plethora of other life-altering events took centre stage, one by one: a global pandemic, a drastic drop in energy demand, and a worldwide movement to end racial inequality, just to name a few.
Many things have changed on the inside and the outside, but the AER's mandate and nature of work remains the same. Here's a snapshot of where the AER stands today.
